How long is the appointment? #5

The appointment usually takes about 45 minutes for one person. Could be longer when there is more than one person. This time includes the consultation, administering the vaccines and filling any medications required for the trip.

Make sure to bring with you the following:
1. Alberta healthcare number.
2. Any previous vaccination record.
3. Any insurance (drug plan) for drug coverage.

Not a problem. You can call Public Health at 403-214-3641 and request a record. You can also call your previous travel clinic to request a record of your previous vaccines.

During your appointment expect to discuss your vaccination history, medical status, some details of your trip, do’s and don’ts during your time away, recommended vaccines for your destination and type of activity, administering your shots and finally filling any prescription medication needed for your trip.

How long before my trip should I start vaccination?

At least 4-6 weeks before your trip, more time would be even better.

Of course, please call us so we can arrange this with you.

Yes, we do. Please call us to arrange the timings and requirements.
